AHHHHHHHHHHH THE SHAME!

I know I haven't blogged in a while, and you are all figuring I've given up on this, well I haven't quite yet! But life has been busy.... ohhhh sooo bloody insanely busy! Since I've last blogged I've written (in possibly reverse chrnological order) finished up two business plans for classes, given a presentation in three classes, dealt with a massive amount of homework in all my classes, midterms, smaug taking a vacation for 24hrs, insanity ensues. There's just been a lot going on, understatement anyway. So I apologize. For those of you who know me and have seen me lately know I'mbordering on a mental breakdown a lot (one of those business plans was done completely by me because my "group" didn't do anything for it) and know I just need to graduate and get done with all of this.

Anyway, there is one thing I wanted to say though. The world is full of dumb-idiots and idiots who take advantage of them.

You heard me right! and I'll say it day in and day out now! I've been reading a book entited "Black Box Voting - Ballot Tampering in the 21st Cent." mainly because Prof. Jones lent it to me. It's good though, and details a LOT of things that are wrong in the voting system today. Things that as a computer scientist with 6 or more brain cells make me cringe, curl up and scream! Did you know that most electronic voting machines have this odd history of loosing votes, miscounting them or giving negative votes to candidates? Trust me, there's more proof out there of this than you want to know about. And today I saw that India, the worldest largest democracy, was going to do an entire vote on a change of government using electronic voting machines.

Wait..... voting machines have a track record of being innaccurate, un-auditable and quite possibly corrupt and the worldest largest democracy is going to hinge it's entire election on them?

::pause a moment for this to sink in::

On top of that today I recieved ANOTHER of the mailings from "Domain Registry of America" (these people are sleaze bags through and through, truely the idiots taking advantage of the dumb idiots). The last time I saw anything from them the mailings (for at least two of my domains if not three) looked suspiciously like BILLINGS (format and wording and all) for search engine service. They WERE billings except for the bold notice hidden away somewhere on the page that said "This notice is not a bill". Sure it isn't. Well today I got a domain name expiration notice. While this usually wouldn't bother me two things about this bugged me. 1) I just renewed all my domains earlier this year, I'm good till like 2006 or something like that, odd..... 2) it's for a domain (www.ebooksresell.com) that I don't even OWN! Now this has GOT to be illegal somehow, I mean by sending me this notice in theory it would be trivial for me to domain hi-jack that domain from it's current owner (who I tried e-mailing and who's e-mail address doesn't work due to another domain being broken, it looks like a squat personally but ::shrugs:: who cares) THIS IS WRONG! And apparently I'm not the only ones who have seen the SCAM that these people are pulling. I found a blog by a gent in England: Andy Budd - http://www.andybudd.com/archives/2004/01/domain_name_registry_of_america_scam/. These people do not follow what I call being reasonable and are just out to take your money. MAYBE if for some odd reason, by blogging about this I prevent one person from giving anything to D.R.O.A than I've done my good for the day.

But yeah nothing else really going on, lots of school work lots and lots and lots. But I'm slated to graduate this summer (or come bloody darned close to it!) so all is well with the world, for the most part.

Carol hasn't blogged lately, she's been just as busy as me, particularly with the Business Plans and all, she's hiding out this week pretty much throwing in the ceramics studio as the last wet clay day is on Friday. So I'll bug her this weekend that she might want to blog to make sure the world knows she hasn't fallen off the face of the Earth ;-)

Anyway all I've procrastinated from my work long enough, and the man with the whip is coming back................... NO REALLY SIR I WAS WORKIN.... ::KATHWASH:: ::scribble scribble scribble furiously::
