I'm getting better!

No, you're not. You'll be stone dead in a moment.

Ok so honestly, I am getting better. Almost completely back to "normal". Feeling better is a good thing, however other members of my family seem to have contracted my misfortune, both of them are running similar problems and they are running temperatures, which must mean that this is in fact the dreaded flu. (Sorry Mom, Sorry Bro!) So the gift that keeps on giving is out and about, anyone want it ;-)

On a more serious note I should be shot. I looked in the paper today and saw that there was going to be a 9:30 showing of the LOTR, here I was feeling all happy for myself that this was going to work out nicely and simply. My girlfriend is here (staying with us, yes I know half the family is out of commision, but this isn't that bad honest) this weekend as she needs to get some work done for her ceramics (mainly watching the FIRE and tending to it in the kiln as it burns this week) So we were going to go watch it tonight...

Apparently the paper lied to me.

There was no 9:30 showing, in FACT the last showing was at 8:20 here, at BOTH theaters that would show it AND they are apparently only showing it on one screen at each?!?!?!?!?!?! WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THAT! So yeah, my girlfriend and I were toodling around town trying to get into the non-existant 9:30 showing of the movie, luckily all is not lost (hey good wins, in the ROTK which is what we were going to see Frodo finally ditches the ring after getting his finger chomped off, but you all know that you've read the books!)

We made it home, a bit dismayed at our plight: no LOTR:ROTK. But Carol found that I left her two x-mas presents on her bed (mine and the one from my parents) so we decided to exchange gifts, and she made me go first. The first one I opened was a book of the 505 worst websites, copyrighted 2003. So I will soon be adding a links section and a category that states "A Website so bad, you must see it" the author makes some really bad comments about these sites, such as the "church of gerbil" commenting that who DOESN'T want to worship a small fuzzy creature, I mean they bite, smell and are generally a neusance right?

The second gift, was a small box of chocolate from Fanny May, a complete assortment...... ALL WITHOUT NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a box of kicking chocolates, none of which have nuts, and I'm going to hoard it! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ok enough ranting about me, it's my girlfriends turn. She just about died at my parents gift of Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate assortment, she was happy :-D

Than she opened mine... She had a look of a deer cought in the headlights of an on coming car, I think I rendered her speachless for a short time. She liked, she liked it a lot. A 1980 printing of the 1954 edition of Emily Dickinson's poems bound by Easton Press, in green leather with a very nicely done gold inlaid border and such. She was very very happy. I done did good! I do have to give part of the credit to this success to the guy who set us up, as he suggested getting her a book of sorts. Dude, you rock ;-)

And now I'm munching on a piece of chocolate, finishing this up so I can go to sleep now.
