(no subject)

To quelch the fears that I may have found the edge of the Earth and been sucked off into the vacume of space, I haven't. I'm still here, been busy.

So yeah, life has been interesting since last Wednesday. Still haven't gotten a GREAT night's sleep. My sleep pattern has to be so shot up at this point, but I'm sleeping relativly peacefully at this point so I'm not terribly worried about the messed up sleep pattern. Class is still amusing, Holstein is by far one of the most engaging professors I've ever run across. Though we are still talking about the copulation in all kinds of odd ways, but he seems to be slowly tiring of that particularl subject. Last Thursday was an interesting day, still not 100% sure what I think of it, but suffice it to say it was interesting. Friday did some consulting, someone with a lot of spyware on their machine cloging up the whole works.

Which brings me to Saturday... Saturday was an interesting day, mowed the lawn, generally killed some time till that evening when a friend of mine invited me to go dancing. Now this struck me on a couple of levels, (1) I wasn't sure if dancing was a great idea and (2) Dancing in this town?!?!?! you have got to be joking me from the start! I have yet to find a good dance club in this town, but I get ahead of myself. I eventually relented and decided to go out, I mean heck what else was I going to do? So I met up with my friend and a couple of her friends and we promptly proceeded to wander around the downtown for an hour trying to figure out where to go. Despite it being the off season for bars, there were plent of drunken men wandering around that for the life of them, couldn't descretly admire the ladies I was walking around with if their lives depended on it. I was saddened by the state of humanity a little because of their actions. Ohhhh well, but a couple of things that DID surprise me... there were like 4-5 bars downtown that were flat out closed, and a couple of them with for sale/lease signs in the windows. *blink* *blink* ok this can't be right but no the shock continues, there is a new JAZZ cabare eating establishment in the downtown!!!!!! Maybe the world has gone topsey turvey, bars closing places without bars opening.... wonder when I dimension jumped?

Anyway we ended up at one of the closest things to a dance club in town (note: the dance floor is only maybe 15-20ft by 10-15ft) and was surprised to find a couple of people I knew working there. So we danced for several hours, and generally had a good time. Though on my way home I had really pretty mixed feelings over the whole thing, but I enjoyed myself which made the evening worth it.

Ohhh yeah one other thing for Friday, I had a phone interview, from which they decided to drag me out for a three day interview. So I will be just North of Chicago from June 13 through the 16. Not sure how much time I'll have to myself, but if anyone is interested in hanging out let me know and we'll try to hook up.

Lets see anything else exciting...? Not really been rather quiet other than that. Probably heading to Madison this weekend, buddy out there wanted me to come hang out, so I'm going to go and just get some time away. So much traveling to do this summer, it's starting to REALLY pile up, but it'll keep me busy so it's all good.

Thats about it

Status: Still failing at this sleep thing, but when sleeping sleeping a bit more soundly and peacefully. Getting better, still confused and frustrated but nothing I can do right now.
