(no subject)

You know, miracles do happen! I just got news a friend of mine will not be heading to the sandbox afterall. Seems her unit has too many people in it and she is undertrained for the "mission". She gets to stay home.

While this is a boon, I really dont like to see friends go into harms way, this is an incredibly selfish happiness I am feeling. I have friends that are there, there are people that are still fighting. This isn't overwith and I shouldn't be as happy as I am, there are people still in harms way. But this is a small victory, and I'm going to be selfish and celebrate for what I can. Take what happiness you can from the world and run with it for now, it's not a perfect world we live in ::shrugs::
