(no subject)

Ok, ok, I'm blogging! I know I'm a horrible individual for not doing so more often but come on, if you all know me than you also know that me blogging is nothing shy of a miracle.

Well went back home to Neb. saw the relatives, and all that jaz, everything is going well out that way. Wandered around and saw my step-grandmother, she's in a nursing home now and the words senile don
t begin to cover her anymore. For a while there she thought I was my father, she barely remembered my mother (who's side she's from) and in the 45 minutes we saw her for, we basically had a single 10 - 15 minute conversation that looped. Mind you I hope I never get that bad, and I'm sorry that she has deteriorated this far, BUT honestly I have had little to do with her through my entire life, she has never been very "grandmotherly" or made any attempts to get to know my brother or I through her entire life, so my feelings more or less end there. My family has, as far as I was ever concerned, been my immediate family, my mother's brother, his children, my grandmother on my father side... and thats about it. When my mother's father was alive I ddidn't know him very well as he developed alshimers which took him away. My fathers side I honestly do my best not to have anything to do with them, to describe them as a living soap opera, but not quite as high class as a soap opera, would be the most accurate statement one could say about them.

Though honestly most of the reason for the above is because I'm a military brat, and was never near any of my relatives where we lived, for better or worse thats how it works... when I think of family I think of my mother, father and brother as opposed to my complete extended family, heck honestly I consider Karl, Patrick, Molly, Jason and Dorrie to be more of an extended family that my true extended family... now you have entered my truely skewed viewpont on life ;-)

What is wrong with the frelling world? Honestly? Has common sense, decency and morality been thrown out the window?! I have friends running around love struck and doing things that would make your toes curl, others who are finally getting help for doing JUST that, SCO suing everyone it can, the RIAA doing the same, people being sued for pointing out the shift key is a neat way to prevent cd's from autorunning software which is now a violation of the DMCA, Boy Scouts being sued and beaten on because they are a private organization with strict views and on top of the whole bloody mess large corporate likeentity that might also sponsor a football team and just HAPPENS to teach people, threatenining legal action against a group of people for a WOPING $53.51! Honestly, between the legal system, the greed, and the general lack of commonsense and morailty of people is just driving me nuts, is making me bitter and I'm HONESTLY debating taking over a small island off the coast of Maine and Canada, declaring it a soverign nation called "Sanity" and kicking people out that have not used the grey matter that was given them at any point in their lives! I'm not asking for much, I know people are stupid but there is a level of stupid that you must not sink to! Anyone want to come join me? Going to be a blast, offshore colocation, reasonable laws, employment for everyone, food, happiness, and radio stations that don't suck! Come on! I'm not asking much!
